Sewing was once a skill that was handed down through the generations. Now, in a throw away society where fast fashion and overconsumption is the norm, the ability to sew no longer holds the same level of importance.
Thankfully, there is a growing resurgence toward learning to sew and, more importantly, clothes upcycling and repurposing. For decades I have been a second-hand shopper and clothes upcycler – long before it was popular and considered an environmentally friendly necessity.
If you’ve always wanted to learn to sew but never had the confidence or someone to show you how, my face-to-face sewing courses and clothes upcycling workshops are the perfect place to get started – in a fun and inclusive environment.
I only run small classes, with a maximum of 4 people, to ensure everyone gets personalised attention.
Once you’ve mastered the essential foundation skills of sewing and upcycling techniques taught in the courses, you’ll have the skills to progress on your own. Or you can join follow-up sewing classes to learn more specific skills to take on advanced projects.

Sewing Classes Sydney

Learn how to sew and use your sewing machine with confidence. All sewing classes are beginner friendly, fun, supportive and hands-on. With a maximum of 4 people per class, there is plenty of time for dedicated, one-on-one attention.
Classes are held at my sewing and clothes upcycling workshop in Frenchs Forest on Sydney’s Northern Beaches (near Northern Beaches Hospital). Private lessons and groups workshops can be held throughout Sydney at a location of your choice.
Elevate your wardrobe and keep clothes out of landfill at my clothes upcycling workshops. Breathe new life into old clothes and altering clothes that don’t fit properly. These fun and hands-on clothes upcycling workshops include how to make simple clothes alterations through to complete transformations.
Dressmaking classes are held once a month, each covering the basics of making staple garments – tops, pants, dresses and skirts. Reserve your place and start your journey toward a more creative, conscious, and stylish way of dressing. All you need is a willingness to learn – I’ll teach you the rest.
