I started thrift shopping in the 1980s out of necessity as a struggling student. Now, decades later, I don’t buy any clothes new (except under garments and swimwear). Many people are surprised to hear this, particularly my corporate clients who are always impressed when I tell them all the clothes wear are second hand.

I am extremely passionate about ethical style and treading lightly upon our Earth. I try to purchase the majority of my thrift shop clothing from the ‘last chance’ rack where the clothes are destined for landfill or to be turned into rags. I then upcycle these into clothes I want to wear or alter them for friends and give them away.

Thanks for visiting and feel free to reach out should you have any questions.
