Get in Touch

Fashion sustainability, clothing swaps and clothes upcycling events.

Sustainability is no longer just a buzzword — it’s a growing expectation in today’s workplaces. More than ever, progressive businesses and their staff want to reduce their environmental footprint and make more conscious choices, both at work and at home.

That’s where my fashion and clothing sustainability workshops come in.

These engaging, hands-on sessions are designed to spark meaningful conversations, teach practical skills, and inspire lasting change in how we consume and care for clothing.

Whether you’re hosting a corporate or public event, a team development day, or simply want to offer staff something different, my workshops provide a powerful blend of education, inspiration, and action.

Why we should be talking about clothing sustainability?

The fashion industry is a major global pollutant, with fast fashion driving overproduction, textile waste, water consumption, environmental pollution, and carbon emissions.

In Australia alone, around 300,000 tonnes of clothing end up in landfill or are exported every year.  The average Australian purchases 56 new garments annually — the highest per capita rate in the world. It’s a problem we can no longer deny or ignore.

By empowering your team or community to rethink their relationship with clothing, you’re taking real action toward a more sustainable workplace culture, fostering habits that extend far beyond the workplace – now and well into the future!

Sustainabilty Workshop Sessions

Tailored to the specific needs of your organisation or event.

Each session is tailored to suit your business needs and event goals. Examples of topics and activities that can be covered include:

  • Learn practical techniques to repair, alter, and refashion clothes — including plenty of no-sew options.
  • Care tips to extend the life of your clothing, shoes and accessories.
  • Understand how to build a sustainable wardrobe.
  • Exploring the true impact of fashion on the planet and the importance of keeping clothing in a circular economy (i.e. in use).
  • Discussion about what happens to donated clothes, and why upcycling and reusing are often a better option.
  • Gain insight into thrifting and second-hand shopping. Learn how to hunt down great pieces and reduce unnecessary spending.
  • Elevate your casual and professional wardrobes in creative and affordable ways.
  • If buying new clothes, the importance of supporting local designers and artisands to foster a more ethical and sustainable industry in Australia.

Interactive and inspiring to keep participants engaged.

My workshops are interactive and inspiring, encouraging open discussion and hands-on learning. Participants are invited to bring along garments they no longer wear.

They’re a fantastic addition to wellness programs, sustainability initiatives, team-building activities, or corporate social responsibility efforts.

My goal is for each participant to leave with fresh ideas, new skills, and a renewed appreciation for what’s already in their wardrobe.

Format and delivery

I offer flexible delivery options to suit your business; these include on-site at your workshop and off-site at your chosen venue.

Based in Sydney, I can travel throughout NSW or interstate, if required.

Duration

  • Short-form sessions of 30 minutes.
  • 1–2 hour workshops (ideal for larger groups).
  • Half-day and full-day intensive sessions with extended hands-on activities.

Workshops can be integrated into your existing corporate event schedule or run as stand-alone sessions.

Clothing Swap Events

Corporate and community clothing swaps

A clothing swap is more than just trading garments; it is a powerful, hands-on way to reduce waste, refresh wardrobes, and spark meaningful conversations about sustainability.

I work with businesses, councils, and community organisations to make clothing swap events seamless, enjoyable, and impactful. Whether you’d like me to take care of everything from start to finish or collaborate with your team to shape the event, I ensure the process runs smoothly and successfully.

My goal is to make every event fun, engaging, and informative, leaving participants inspired by the positive change they’re making, proud of reducing clothing waste, and delighted by a refreshed wardrobe at no cost.

Why host a clothing swap

  • Encourage staff to rethink their relationship with fashion
  • Reduce textile waste in a fun, interactive way
  • Support company ESG and sustainability goals
  • Create connection and community through shared experiences

Clothing swap event planning services

Running a clothing swap can feel like a big task — but that’s where I come in. I can manage the entire process or work alongside your team to make every stage seamless and enjoyable.

Collection: I’ll help set up easy collection points and provide materials to encourage participation. Staff bring quality items they no longer wear, creating the foundation for a successful swap.

Sort and Display: I assist with sorting items and setting them up in an inviting, shop-style layout that makes the experience fun and inclusive.

Clothing Swap: On the day, I host or co-host the event, guiding participants, explaining how it works, and ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Leftover Donations: I coordinate or advise on donating leftover items responsibly to local charities or recycling partners.

With end-to-end support, your clothing swap will be effortless to run, enjoyable for participants, and impactful for your sustainability goals.

Format and delivery

  • Lunchtime swap: Quick, engaging, and perfect for busy workplaces
  • Half-day clothing swap with sustainability talk: More in-depth, with time for workshops and interaction
  • Bi-annually seasonal swaps – Held at the onsite of Winter and Summer, these give people the chance to refresh their wardrobe for the season ahead while clearing garments they no longer need.

A clothing swap can be integrated into your existing corporate event schedule or run as stand-alone sessions.
