ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP

Thrift Shopping Excursion

Join me on a three hour, hands-on thrift thrift shopping experience where you’ll learn how to spot great value pieces and gain a valuable understanding of the best clothes to alter, upcycle and refashion.

We’ll start by meeting at a local café, where I’ll share invaluable thrift shopping tips and tricks I’ve perfected over the past 35 years. Then we’ll proceed to visit as many local thrift shops as we can in either Dee Why, Mona Vale or Brookvale (Northern Beaches Sydney).

Whether you’re looking to refresh your wardrobe or find unique items to flip, this outing will provide practical tips on how to make smarter, more sustainable choices while saving money and honing your thrift shopping skills.

Note: Once at the meeting point café, we’ll then walk to the various second hand shops.

In this excursion, we’ll cover

Essential tips and strategies for successful thrift shopping and upcycling.
How to spot thrift shopping bargains and identify hidden gems.
What to look for in terms of quality, condition, and potential for alteration or upcycling.

Location

We’ll meet at a local café at Dee Why, Mona Vale or Brookvale and then proceed to local thrift shops in the area. Please ensure you allow adequate parking (local parking suggestions will be sent to you prior to the event).
